Bovi-Shield GOLD FP 5 L5 is a freeze-dried preparation of modified live virus (MLV) strains of Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR), Bovine Viral Diarrhea (BVD Types 1 and 2), Parainfluenza 3 (PI3), and Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Virus (BRSV), combined with a liquid bacterin containing 5 Leptospira serovars (L. canicola, L. grippotyphosa, L. hardjo, L. icterohaemorrhagiae, L. pomona). Demonstrated to prevent fetal infection caused by BVD virus Types 1 and 2.

Indications
-
Vaccination of healthy cows and heifers prior to breeding to prevent persistently infected calves caused by BVD virus Types 1 and 2.

Aid in preventing abortion caused by Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus.

Aid in preventing respiratory disease caused by IBR, BVD Types 1 and 2, PI3, and BRSV.

Aid in preventing leptospirosis caused by Leptospira canicola, L. grippotyphosa, L. hardjo, L. icterohaemorrhagiae, and L. pomona.
Contraindications
-
Do not use in pregnant cows or in calves nursing pregnant cows unless the cows were vaccinated according to label directions within the past 12 months with any Bovi-Shield GOLD FP or PregGuard GOLD FP vaccine.
Precautions

Contains gentamicin as a preservative.

In case of anaphylactoid reaction, administer epinephrine immediately.

Burn container and all unused contents according to regulatory protocols.
Side Effects

Transient mild swelling or nodule at injection site.

Rare hypersensitivity or systemic anaphylaxis.
