Spirovac is a whole-cell inactivated bacterin of Leptospira borgpetersenii serovar Hardjo (type hardjobovis). Indicated for the vaccination of healthy cattle 4 weeks of age or older to aid in the prevention of infection by Leptospira borgpetersenii serovar Hardjo, the shedding of L. hardjo in urine, and the colonization of the kidney and reproductive tract.

Indications

  • Vaccination of healthy cattle 4 weeks of age or older to aid in the prevention of infection by Leptospira borgpetersenii serovar Hardjo, urinary shedding, and kidney/reproductive colonization.

Contraindications

  • Do not vaccinate clinically ill or febrile cattle.

Precautions

  • Contains thimerosal as a preservative. Epinephrine should be administered if allergic or anaphylactic reaction occurs.

Side Effects

  • Transient local swelling may occur at injection site.
