Dosages

Cattle

  • Initial loading dose: 25 mg/lb (55 mg/kg) orally on Day 1; Maintenance dose: 12.5 mg/lb (27.5 mg/kg) orally once daily on Days 2, 3, 4, and 5 (Oral) — Treat for 3 to 5 consecutive days

Indications
  • Treatment of shipping fever complex and bacterial pneumonia associated with Pasteurella multocida and Mannheimia haemolytica.
  • Treatment of calf diphtheria associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum.
  • Treatment of foot rot associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in animals with known sulfonamide hypersensitivity or severe renal/hepatic impairment.
Precautions
  • Maintain adequate water intake to prevent crystalluria. Do not exceed 5 consecutive days of treatment.
Side Effects
  • Occasional anorexia, urticaria, or hematuria at excessive doses.
