Storage Conditions Store at controlled room temperature 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F). Protect from light and moisture.
Dosages

Dog

  • For CDS: 0.5 to 1.0 mg/kg once daily in the morning; For PDH: 1.0 mg/kg once daily in the morning, may be increased to 2.0 mg/kg if needed (Oral) — Administer daily in the morning. Re-evaluate response at 4 weeks and 8 weeks
Withdrawal Periods —
Indications
  • Control of clinical signs associated with canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome (CDS).
  • Control of clinical signs associated with uncomplicated canine pituitary-dependent hyperadrenocorticism (PDH / Cushing's disease).
Contraindications
  • Contraindicated in dogs with known hypersensitivity to selegiline hydrochloride.
  • Do not use concurrently with meperidine, tramadol, other opioids, SSRIs, tricyclic antidepressants, or amitraz.
Precautions
  • Allow at least 14 days washout period after discontinuation of fluoxetine or tricyclic antidepressants before starting Anipryl. Concurrent use with alpha-2 agonists requires careful monitoring.
Side Effects
  • Vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, agitation, anorexia, lethargy, or salivation.
