Package Size 1 g and 4 g multi-dose vials with sterile water for reconstitution
Storage Conditions Store unreconstituted product between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Reconstituted solution must be refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C for up to 7 days, or frozen for up to 8 weeks.
Dosages

Cattle

  • 1.1 to 2.2 mg ceftiofur/kg body weight (1 to 2 mL per 100 lb) (Intramuscular (IM) or Subcutaneous (SC)) — Once daily for 3 to 5 consecutive days

Swine

  • 3.0 to 5.0 mg ceftiofur/kg body weight (Intramuscular (IM)) — Once daily for 3 consecutive days

Sheep

  • 1.1 to 2.2 mg ceftiofur/kg body weight (Intramuscular (IM)) — Once daily for 3 consecutive days

Horse

  • 2.2 to 4.4 mg ceftiofur/kg body weight (Intramuscular (IM)) — Once daily for 3 to 5 days

Dog

  • 2.2 mg ceftiofur/kg body weight (Subcutaneous (SC)) — Once daily for 5 to 14 days

Sheep
Indications
  • Treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and acute bovine interdigital necrobacillosis (foot rot).
  • Treatment of swine bacterial respiratory disease (SRD).
  • Treatment of respiratory infections in horses caused by Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus.
  • Treatment of canine urinary tract infections caused by E. coli and Proteus mirabilis.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to ceftiofur or beta-lactam antibiotics.
Precautions
  • Observe aseptic injection procedures.
  • Avoid intravenous injection in horses or cattle.
Side Effects
  • Transient local tissue reaction or mild tenderness at injection site.
