Cattle

  • Infuse the contents of one syringe (600 mg cloxacillin benzathine) into the teat canal of each quarter immediately after the final milking of a lactation at drying-off. (Intramammary) — Single administration at dry-off

Indications
  • For use in dairy cows at drying-off to treat existing subclinical infections and provide prolonged protection against new infections during the dry period, especially Streptococcus agalactiae, S. dysgalactiae, S. uberis, Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin-resistant strains), and Corynebacterium bovis.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in lactating cows. Do not use in pregnant cows within 42 days of calving. Do not use in animals hypersensitive to penicillins or cephalosporins.
Precautions
  • At drying off, thoroughly clean and disinfect each teat with surgical spirit following the final milking before infusing the contents of one syringe into each quarter. Do not massage teat or udder after infusion.
