Poulvac Procerta HVT-ND is a frozen, cell-associated recombinant vaccine containing serotype 3 turkey herpesvirus (HVT) expressing the fusion (F) protein gene of Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV). Indicated for in ovo administration to 18- to 19-day-old embryonated eggs or subcutaneous injection in 1-day-old chickens as an aid in preventing Newcastle disease and Marek's disease.

Indications

  • Aid in the prevention of Newcastle disease and Marek's disease in chickens.

  • Eliminates post-vaccinal respiratory reactions associated with live Newcastle vaccines.

Contraindications

  • Do not administer to unhealthy or stressed flocks.

Precautions

  • Extreme care required handling liquid nitrogen. Avoid exposure to skin or eyes.

  • Use within 2 hours after thawing and reconstitution.

Side Effects

  • Safe and well tolerated; no post-vaccinal respiratory reactions typical of live Newcastle vaccines.
