Poulvac Ovoline CVI is a frozen, cell-associated live virus vaccine containing the attenuated Rispens CVI 988 strain of Marek's Disease Virus (Serotype 1). Formulated for in-ovo injection into 18-to-19-day-old embryonated broiler/layer eggs or subcutaneous injection in day-old chicks to provide early and robust protection against very virulent Marek's disease (vvMDV).

Indications

  • Active immunization of embryonated chicken eggs or day-old chicks to prevent mortality, lesions, and immunosuppression caused by Marek's disease virus.

Contraindications

  • Do not vaccinate compromised embryonated eggs or sickly chicks.

Precautions

  • Handling liquid nitrogen requires face shield and cryo-protective gloves to prevent frostbite.

  • Once reconstituted, use vaccine within 2 hours.

Side Effects

  • None when administered following correct hatchery hygiene and protocols.
