Poulvac E. coli is a modified-live bacterial vaccine containing an aroA-gene deleted strain of Escherichia coli. Indicated for mass spray vaccination of healthy chickens 1 day of age or older, or healthy turkeys 3 days of age or older, as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by Escherichia coli (colibacillosis, airsacculitis, pericarditis, and perihepatitis).

Indications

  • Aid in the prevention of colibacillosis and lesions (airsacculitis, pericarditis, perihepatitis, and septicemia) caused by Escherichia coli in chickens and turkeys.

Contraindications

  • Do not use in conjunction with antibacterial treatments. Avoid concurrent antibiotic therapy within 3 days before or after vaccination.

Precautions

  • Use clean, non-chlorinated water for reconstitution and spray.

  • Vaccinate all birds in flock simultaneously.

Side Effects

  • Mild transient respiratory sounds following coarse spray.
