Fostera PRRS is a modified-live virus vaccine for the vaccination of healthy swine 1 day of age or older in PRRS-positive herds as an aid in preventing the respiratory form of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS), and in breeding female swine as an aid in preventing reproductive disease. Demonstrated to reduce respiratory pathology, viremia, and virus shedding.

Indications

  • Aid in preventing the respiratory form of PRRS, reducing lung pathology, reducing viremia and shedding.

  • Aid in reproductive disease control in breeding stock in PRRS-positive herds.

Contraindications

  • Do not use in PRRS-negative herds.

  • Do not use in boars of breeding age.

Precautions

  • Vaccine virus may be shed by vaccinated pigs to non-vaccinated penmates.

  • Burn containers and unused vaccine.

Side Effects

  • Mild transient lethargy or injection-site swelling.
