Mild standing sedation and restraint to facilitate non-painful minor veterinary, dental, and husbandry procedures (such as shoeing, clipping, floating teeth, and clinical examinations) in horses.
Do not use in horses with preexisting severe cardiovascular disease, heart block, or bradycardia.
Do not use in horses with severe respiratory disorders or acute hepatic/renal failure.
Do not administer concurrently with intravenous potentiated sulfonamides.
Sedated horses may appear completely asleep but retain response to sudden loud noises and defensive kicking.
Food and water should be withheld until sedation has completely dissipated to prevent esophageal choke or colic.
Impermeable gloves must be worn during administration to prevent human accidental dermal absorption.
Bradycardia, transient ataxia, penile relaxation/prolapse, mild sweating, muscle tremors, and transient hypertension followed by hypotension.
