Dosages

Cattle

  • 20 mg/kg (9 mg/lb) body weight administered as a single deep intramuscular or intravenous injection (Intramuscular (IM) or Intravenous (IV)) — Single treatment dose; or daily therapy at 3-5 mg/lb for 3 to 4 days

Swine

  • 20 mg/kg (9 mg/lb) body weight administered as a single deep intramuscular injection (Intramuscular (IM)) — Single dose in the neck

Indications
  • Treatment of bovine respiratory disease (shipping fever complex) associated with Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida.
  • Treatment of infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis (pinkeye) caused by Moraxella bovis.
  • Treatment of foot rot, wooden tongue, and acute metritis in cattle.
  • Treatment of bacterial enteritis (scours) and pneumonia in swine.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in lactating dairy cattle producing milk for human food.
  • Do not use in calves to be processed for veal.
Precautions
  • Intramuscular injection may result in localized tissue irritation; use proper injection technique.
Side Effects
  • Local muscle discoloration and transient swelling at the injection site.
