Storage Conditions Store at controlled room temperature 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) with excursions permitted between 15°C and 30°C.
Dosages

Dog

  • Acute vomiting: minimum 2 mg/kg PO once daily for up to 5 days. Motion sickness: minimum 8 mg/kg PO once daily for up to 2 consecutive days. (Oral (PO)) — Up to 5 days for acute vomiting; up to 2 days for motion sickness
Withdrawal Periods —
Indications
  • Prevention of acute vomiting in dogs 2 months of age and older.
  • Prevention of vomiting caused by motion sickness in dogs 4 months of age and older.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in dogs with known hypersensitivity to maropitant citrate.
  • Do not use for motion sickness in puppies younger than 16 weeks of age.
Precautions
  • Do not wrap tablet in fatty treats or hot dogs as this may delay absorption and decrease efficacy.
  • Use with caution in dogs with hepatic dysfunction.
  • Safety has not been established in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs.
Side Effects
  • Excessive salivation/drooling, drowsiness or lethargy, retching, and diarrhea.
