Calf-Guard is a modified-live virus vaccine containing bovine rotavirus and bovine coronavirus for the vaccination of healthy newborn calves or pregnant cows as an aid in preventing neonatal calf diarrhea (scours) caused by bovine rotavirus and bovine coronavirus.

Contraindications

Vaccination of calves older than 1 day of age may not be effective. Do not vaccinate malnourished, parasitized, or immunocompromised animals.
قد لا يكون تحصين العجول التي يزيد عمرها عن يوم واحد فعالاً. لا تحصن الحيوانات التي تعاني من سوء التغذية أو الطفيليات أو ضعف المناعة.
Precautions

Store at 2° to 7°C. Do not freeze. Sterilize needles and syringes using heat, not chemicals, because disinfectant residues may inactivate the vaccine. Burn containers and unused contents. Contains gentamicin as a preservative. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. In case of anaphylaxis, administer epinephrine.

Anaphylaxis may rarely occur following vaccination; initial antidote of epinephrine is recommended.
